AFSA National High School Essay Contest

How to Apply: In 1,500 words or less, describe what you believe will be the biggest challenge to face the Foreign Service in the future and how American diplomats can help mitigate it.

Amount: $2,500, an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C., and an all-expense paid educational voyage courtesy of Semester at Sea

Community Foundation’s Scholarship

How to Apply: Complete one application, including an essay, to become eligible for up to 160 different scholarship funds.
Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and current college students primarily from Hampshire, Hampden, or Franklin Counties, with select funds available to students from Berkshire County and Hartford County in CT
Amount: Up to $3,000
