[00:00:00] Hi folks. Jonathan from MEFA here, and I wanna tell you how you can use MEFA Pathway to learn more about the benefits of the Mass Transfer program. First of all, what is the mass transfer program? It’s a program with multiple paths within it to help Massachusetts students graduate from Massachusetts public colleges and universities with little to no debt.

And here’s how it works. You start at a two year community college where you earn your associate degree. You then use the program to transfer your credits into a four year public college or university in Massachusetts where you’re already halfway to your bachelor’s degree. Now, depending on the exact path you take within mass transfer, you may also qualify for additional benefits like guaranteed admission into your school, no application fee, a tuition freeze, or even a rebate on the tuition you’re paying while in college.

The students are fortunate to have these options. But many don’t know [00:01:00] about them or how to take advantage, and that’s why MEFA Pathway developed a mass transfers benefits feature so that students can learn what their potential savings would be through each of the mass transfer programs, which are Commonwealth Commitment, general Education Foundation, and A to B degree.

So how do students use the feature? They start by logging into MEFA Pathway and select mass transfer benefits under the search colleges tab. Then they’d select a community college to start at from the dropdown menu and then a four year college to transfer to. This will bring up the requirements and estimated savings for each of the three programs.

They can then save plans that they may wanna explore further, which will in turn appear on their my mass transfer benefits list. These saved plans can then be applied to the college compare and college cost calculator tools. This is a tool that is only available on MEFA pathway. So if you haven’t already, visit MEFA pathway.org [00:02:00] to create an account.
