Looking ahead activity allows you the student to explore current and forecasted in demand careers filtered by location and career category of choice.

[00:00:00] MEFA Pathways. Looking ahead activity allows you the student to explore current and forecasted in demand careers filtered by location and career category of choice. To access the activity, students can visit MEFA pathway.org and log in or create an account. Under the Discover Careers tab, students can select the Investigate your Future tab and then select looking ahead.

To begin, student select a location, which can be the entire United States or a specific state along with a career category. The results show both the current and future in-demand jobs based on the selected location and career category. Current in-demand careers include the number of current jobs of that career that exist within the selected geographical area, while the future in demand jobs, display percentages indicating how much a career is expected to grow.

If a student is interested in one of the career options, [00:01:00] they can click on it to view a brief description along with the required education level and median wages. Students can select more info to view extensive details about the career or select Save This Career to add it to their My Careers list, where they can track potential careers and develop a plan for after high school.
